NEWS I also provide private lessons on the practice chanter if you are interested in learning how to play the Great Highland Bagpipe. Learning the bagpipes takes practice, time and desire, and anyone can learn to play. If you are interested in lessons, call me at 386-843-3805 for information. Lessons can be provided on some weekday evenings and on Saturdays. A WINNING SEASON AT THE FLORIDA HIGHLAND GAMES This has been a banner year for competing at the various games held in Florida. As of March 27, the Grade 5 band I play in with Rosie O'Grady Highlanders took 1st place again, and will be considered Champion Supreme in Florida for Grade 5. As a solo competitor, I picked up 6 medals for my march (Prince Charles Welcome to Lochaber) and Piobrached (Glengarry's Lament). I hope to place again in Savannah, GA, in May. It's time to begin working on new tunes for next season. Here is the very pleased Grade 5 band.  |
