Highland bagpipe music expresses strong feelings, ranging from joy, the desire to 'dance a jig' to memories of a loved one passed away. In recognition of this, bagpipes have long been associated with many aspects of Celtic life, ranging from gatherings for the commemoration of birth and marriage,to the end of life. Bagpipers are also noted for living life to its' fullest,able to instill themselves and others with merry song and dance. I play several types of tunes including slow airs, marches, retreats, strathspeys and jigs. Here are some of the more requested tunes for weddings, funerals and memorial services. |
